Fancy joining UK’s top wholesale talent to celebrate achievement AND meet the Minister for Women over a glass of bubbles at the Houses of Parliament? Well keep on reading…
Federation of Wholesale Distributors (FWD) CEO, James Bielby, has kindly invited all WiW delegates to a free parliamentary reception on November 1 to celebrate this year’s FWD Skills and Development Awards.
So why not come and enjoy a drink among industry colleagues and friends at the Houses of Parliament, and meet the UK Minister for Women Anne Milton (pictured). Here’s more details from James:
On behalf of FWD chairman Andrew Selley, I am writing to invite you to the FWD Parliamentary Reception at the Houses of Parliament on November 1.
The reception, attended by FWD wholesale members and suppliers and supported by Women in Wholesale, will include the FWD Skills and Development awards, which recognises the wealth of young talent in wholesale. As a cornerstone of the British Economy, FWD members have a strong commitment to fostering and developing talent and have a strong cohort of apprentices and trainees, and our reception will recognise the diverse talent in the wholesale sector and highlight the value of ongoing training within the sector.
This is the third time FWD has presented these awards at the Houses of Parliament and each year we have had an excellent turn out from supportive MPs and FWD wholesalers and suppliers.
Anne Milton MP, Minister for Women, will be the keynote speaker at the event.
I would be delighted if you and you colleagues could join us at the House of Commons for a great networking event in a magnificent setting, to demonstrate to parliamentarians that the FWD membership is united in calling for support for the sector and its customers in the formulation of policy and legislation.
The event takes place in the Thames Pavilion, House of Commons, on Wednesday 1 November 2017, between 4-6pm and will include opportunities to speak to MPs and network with FWD wholesaler and supplier members.
If you and a colleague are able to attend, please respond to Nikki Connor (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will forward an official invitation, which you will need to pass through security at the House of Commons. I look forward to seeing you on November 1.
